brad pitt isn’t just a stalwart in the film world – the dude is also doing big things in the art space… exhibiting his latest works in a land far, far away.
The actor/producer has apparently submitted a number of pieces he created for a gallery show in Tampere, Finland. The event took place at a well-known museum, and it was dubbed “Thomas Houseago’s WE with Nick Cave & Brad Pitt.”
It looks like Brad had 9 different items to show…ranging from great creations (like the bronze case, to Han Solo’s carbon freeze) to the little ones – like the booby-trapped balls he crystallized from platinum silicon and the modest miniature house he made from tree bark.
Photos of Brad’s artwork were taken by the artist/designer DeBranne Treu, who says her husband’s buddies with Brad. She had nothing but praise for BP, writing…”To say his work is brilliant is an understatement as he is a true artist who creates with extreme passion and drive. The dedication to his craft is humbling and inspiring.”
There are titles attached to some of Brad’s artwork, and they’re interesting. Lots of bullet blocks seem to go through variations of this… “Self-inflicted gunshot wound at home,” plus one that says, “Aiming at you, I saw myself but it was too late this time.
Other titles for his art include “Buried Needs”, “Slave to Our Vices”, “House-A-Go-Go” and “Candle Holders for Loved Ones”. BP himself was not there in person for the screening.
Pretty impressive stuff, though. 🧐
