Historic Fox Theater Film To Debut On Open House | Entertainment


Over the past year and a half, the Banning Library District and the Friends of Banning Library have come together to produce a series of mini-documentaries, “Exploring the Pass,” on important places and events in the San Gorgonio area. Pass. .

The first episode on Fox Cineplex in Banning debuted on YouTube this month.

Banning library historian Francisco Ramos compiled research and guest contributors for the documentary and worked with D’place Entertainment which manages and operates Fox Cineplex.

Together, these partners, in collaboration with Friends of Banning Library, completed their 30-minute episode on the history of cinema and the role played by Fox.

So far, the public reception has been positive, according to Ramos.

D’Place Entertainment, which operates the theater, invites the public to participate in its open house on November 9 at 6 p.m.

The event is free and will feature the YouTube episode of “Exploring the Pass” on Fox Cineplex at 6:45 am on the big screen.

The Fox has been the first cinema palace in the San Gorgonio Pass region for 93 years. Over the past century, he has played a huge role in many major cinematic events. It has hosted many celebrities who have performed live on Fox such as Natalie Wood, Dean Martin, Bob Hope and many more.

The Fox is not only an important building as a historic movie theater, but has also played an important role for 20th Century Fox in their upcoming film test screenings.
