London property: Bromley home on sale for just £370,000 but has been completely ripped off



A house in Bromley is being sold at a reduced price and is attracting interest from those looking for a bargain. However, the terraced property comes with a few caveats.

The house has been completely gutted and needs a lot of work, both inside and out. The house was listed on Zoopla and buyers became interested as the house costs almost £100,000 less than typical terraced houses sold in Bromley.

The photos of the property show that there are piles of rubbish in the front garden and living room. The rooms also have no decoration or furniture. The garden is largely overgrown but could be fixed easily with a lawn mower.

From the outside, the property looks like your typical terraced house

Despite its uninhabitable appearance, it could easily be bought by someone unafraid of big plans. Those looking to buy might also be convinced by the development plans that have already been agreed with the current owners.

Extension works are permitted on the property and it also has permission to have a loft extension built. The house is on Shroffold Road, Bromley, and is well connected to schools and local transport. Grove Park station is nearby and Bellingham station is also a short walk away.

On Zoopla, the Bromley home is listed at £307,000, however, it is currently only advertising to cash buyers.

Typically, over the past 12 months a terraced property in Bromley would typically sell for an average of £468,847, according to Zoopla.

On the Zoopla site, the owner advertises the house and says, “Cash buyers only. Expansion plans ready for permitted development. Development permit granted for development of attics.

“Home2u is pleased to offer this two bedroom townhouse on Shroffold Road. The property has two double bedrooms, a reception, a large dining room, a bathroom, a kitchen and a garden. Please note: The property is completely bare. Currently, a party wall agreement is underway to begin work.
