MSI on Thursday unveiled the industry’s first curved display featuring mini LED backlighting with quantum dot films and compliant with VESA DisplayHDR 1000 requirements. The new display promises to combine super high image quality with crisp curvature and the performance of a gaming-grade LCD display.

MSI’s Artymis 341 MEG Mini LED Monitor is based on 34 inch AU Optronics AmLED (Adaptive Mini LED) display technology that includes the company’s display panel and a Mini LED based backlight module that is still enhanced with MSI QD Premium quantum dot films. The FALD (Full-array local dimming) backlight based on mini LEDs allows for excellent contrasts and very high brightness, while the quantum dot enhancement is intended to ensure very high color accuracy, so that the display promises both high contrasts and precise color reproduction.

As for the exact specs, MSI’s Artymis 341 MEG Mini LED Monitor features a resolution of 3440×1440, a GtG response time of 1ms, a refresh rate of up to 165Hz (native), and a curvature of 800R. Since the monitor meets VESA DisplayHDR 1000 requirements, it supports at least HDR10 transport for high dynamic range content as well as a peak luminance of at least 1000 nits in HDR mode.

Without a doubt, MSI’s MEG Artymis 341 Mini LED will be one of the company’s flagship displays, as it is said to offer superior picture quality as well as a refresh rate of up to 165Hz. Therefore, wait. you have other advantages that are usually found on products of this type, such as a USB hub, audio connectors, advanced OSD and built-in KVM.

In addition to its mini curved LED display, MSI is preparing another monitor for gamers who demand high picture quality, performance and a large diagonal – a 55-inch OLED gaming monitor. The unit will be available in 2022, and pricing has yet to be announced.
