Owensboro, Kentucky family create elaborate display for Halloween

0

Paul and Lauren Westerfield, along with their two children, love Halloween. They grow pumpkins, decorate and give. Many ghosts, skeletons, ghouls, and goblins have taken over their homes and yard in Owensboro this year. They did everything to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

I love seeing stories like this for so many reasons. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Whether it’s a spooky trip to a haunted house, dressing up in a fun costume, or handing out candy, Halloween is such a fun time! As much as I love the season, I don’t decorate the inside and outside of my house for Halloween. I’m saving this for Christmas when I go all out. Are you decorating for Halloween? The Westerfield family does, and they do an amazing job.

THE WESTERFIELD FAMILY IS GOING ALL OUT FOR HALLOWEEN

After seeing the overdone displays on social media, I reached out to Paul and asked him why they were decorating for St. Jude. They decorated the inside and outside of their house in a spooky way.

“We have always made a personal donation to St Jude and support what they stand for. What they are doing for families going through this difficult time is amazing and I know anyone with children including my family , would like it if we ever needed it. I found the skeletons for St Jude online and thought it would be a great addition to our display. I grow pumpkins and use them to decorate, and it s extended from there for our full fledged Halloween display. As soon as I found the opportunity to do so we jumped on board. We do this for the kids and to bring joy to all those who stop.”, Paul shared

The spooky display has grown this year to become the best haunted house in the neighborhood. All proceeds benefit St. Jude.
