Has anyone seen PJ’s Pancake House in downtown Princeton on Sunday night TV? If you’re a reality TV fan, you might have.
The show is TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé. Have you seen him? It follows real-life couples who have applied for or been granted the K-1 visa, which is when a US citizen can ask their fiancé to come to the United States. Once there, the couple has 90 days to get married, hence the show’s name.
Interesting. I do not watch the series, but my friends who tell me that there is always drama. What would a reality show be without drama, right? Lol.
One of the series’ couples, Ariela and Bini, is back for season 9. Ariela is from Princeton. Her father, Dr. Fred Weinberg, is a cardiologist. Rumor has it that the couple, who are married and have one child, live in Princeton or Plainsboro.
I was looking at their Instagram and found a post from May when they were with their lovely son in my hometown of Cranbury (it’s the main street across from Teddy’s restaurant).
In the Sunday Night Show episode (Season 9, Episode 12), Ariela brings Bini to PJ’s Pancake House on Nassau Street in Princeton. She tells him, “There’s a famous breakfast in Princeton.”
One of PJ’s owners, John Procaccini, told me the episode was filmed last fall. It’s funny how the television world works.
Procaccini also said Ariela and her family have been loyal customers for many years. Ariela’s mother grew up in Princeton because she refers to her mother who carved her initials on the table when she was in high school, like so many people have done over the years.
It was so cool to see a restaurant I’ve been to so many times for airtime.
