A festive fall diorama will once again be on display at the Masonic Building in Zelienople this Halloween.
The Model Train Club of Zelienople will present its Halloween-themed model train exhibit on October 31 at the Zelienople Trick-or-Treat Party from 6-8 p.m.
The exhibit will be decorated with fluorescent paint and props that will glow under blacklight lighting, said club co-founder Matthew Beahm.
“We had over 500 people come last year to see the exhibit,” Beahm said. “Before that, maybe a few hundred in the first year. I suspect it will increase again this year.
The club’s 20 members work to put on four different exhibits each year, for Easter, July 4, Halloween and Christmas, he said.
“We need about two days to set things up, and we reuse things from the previous year. However, we keep adding new stuff,” Beahm said. “This year for the Halloween expo, we’re going to have a miniature drive-in movie theater showing ‘It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!’ We’re going to have a smokehouse, a Ghostbusters-themed firehouse with Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and Slimer – and it’s all miniature and highlighted in fluorescent colors.
