Romance is in the air as the Kaminski House Museum prepares for a wedding party scheduled for Sunday, April 10and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Kaminski House Lawn will host photographers, bakers, catering and other businesses providing a variety of wedding services to fulfill the wedding dreams of couples planning one of the most important days of their lives. .
The event will also feature the latest wedding day trends presented by Indigo Blue Design & Events. Other companies represented in the fashion show include Balloons By B, Derrian Cooper, Joyce’s Cakes, Two Oaks Bridal Boutique, Salon 314, Shear Perfection Hair Salon and Men’s Wearhouse.
A special exhibition of wedding dresses will be displayed inside the Kaminski House Museum in April. The fabulous vintage wedding dresses are from the collection of Melissa Levey, a local collector. The special exhibit can be viewed with admission to the Kaminski House Museum on daily tours at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. Floral arrangements and tablescapes will be on display and showcase the design talents of local realtor and designer, Kevin Jayroe.

“It’s always a fun event and our lawn vendors specialize in creating weddings showcasing the romance, history and traditions of South Carolina’s Lowcountry,” said the assistant manager of the Kaminski House. Kim Leatherwood. “We have special performances from Lowcountry Pianist & Company and DJ Mike Albert of Raise the Roof Myrtle Beach will rock the lawn for us. Carolina Limousine will be with us and future brides can take a mini tour of historic Georgetown aboard the Wedding Trolley.
A special stop will be made at Baxter’s Brewhouse to view the accommodations. If you are planning a wedding for fall 2022 or spring 2023, you want to be with us for this event. This is our opportunity to show brides how accommodating our community is for weddings and all related celebrations.

ABOUT THE KAMINSKI HOUSE-MUSEUM
Built around 1769, the Kaminski House was home to many prominent residents of Georgetown. The house’s pre-Revolutionary War architectural details provide an elegant backdrop to the varied interiors that help bring Harold and Julia Kaminski, the house’s last residents, to life. Mrs. Kaminski left the house and its contents to the City of Georgetown upon her death in 1972. Located at 1003 Front Street, the Kaminski House Museum is open Monday through Saturday with guided tours at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. 3 p.m. Tickets cost $12 for adults, seniors 65 and over $10, children 6-17 and $6, and children under 5 are admitted free.
