Will King Viserys Die in ‘House of Dragon’ GOT Prequel?

0

If you are the king of Westeros, someone will kill you and take your place. It’s inevitable ! Yet people still commit horrible acts of violence just to sit on the Iron Throne. The impending threat of death often drives those in power into a paranoid panic, but King Viserys seems a little too soft. So far Dragon Househe has a succession problem on its hands. The kingdom is wide open for a takeover, and he spends his time carving out a miniature model of the city in his bedroom.

Let’s face it, this guy is going to die. The only questions that remain are how and when. It could be the very next episode, or his demise could span four seasons, but it will happen. When does it? This will send the kingdom into absolute chaos. Let’s play detective and look at the clues given to us so far. If fans could understand the R + L = J” theory of game of thronesit should be child’s play.

Stabbed by Aegon’s Knife

In the first episode, Viserys shows his daughter, Rhaenyra, a decorative knife he keeps in his bedroom that once belonged to Aegon the Conqueror. He tells her that it is made of Valyrian steel – one of the most valuable materials in the realm – and that Aegon has prophesied a day in the future when it would become very useful. thrones fans will no doubt recognize the weapon as both the catalyst for the entire series and the tool used to finish off the Night King near the finale. So there’s an incredibly important knife in the king’s chambers? No reason he can’t relaunch the events of Dragon House as well!

Tetanus of the Iron Throne!

After Viserys orders his younger brother, Prince Daemon, out of King’s Landing, he cuts his finger on the Iron Throne. The chair is, after all, made entirely of sharp swords. As silly as it sounds for Viserys to catch tetanus from that rusty metal chair, it’s also entirely plausible. There is no tetanus vaccine in Westeros around 129 AC.

A dragon burns King Viserys to death

There’s a cool new murder weapon in Westeros. The kingdom is full of dragons, and they all belong to the Targaryen family. Viserys is the current patriarch, but we haven’t seen his dragon yet. We did, however, spot Caraxes, the huge red dragon owned by his brother, Prince Daemon. Burning your brother alive with dragon fire to take the throne would be pretty savage, but I wouldn’t put it beyond Daemon. The man lives for the drama!

Why not poison?

Dragon House currently has Princess Rhaenyra on duty for wine at meetings of the King’s Council. She moves around the table, pouring everyone a cup, listening and sharing her opinions as the heir to the throne. While I doubt the young princess is plotting to kill her own father, I could imagine a diabolical ploy to kill two birds with one stone. If someone could poison the king’s wine and have Rhaenyra pour it out for him, he might be able to kill Viserys and blame his heir for his death at the same time. Bad! Of course, there are countless other ways to die. Let’s not forget that there is also a mysterious and ugly wound that purifies on his back!
